Cure FDS!

After a long dry hiatus, I'm back to blogging.

When I started this website last year, I had imagined that I would spend a good amount of time interacting with its visitors.  I thought that with millions of inhabitants out here in the Web, that I would get a constant stream of people who would comment, critique, or converse with me through this site.  I never thought that I would get no response at all save for one friend who took the time to post replies (D.C., you'll get your five bucks soon!).

Yes, I'm definitely Bummed out about this.  I officially have FDS (Feedback Deprivation Syndrome).

Do not get me wrong.  As ego-centric a personal website could potentially be, I never intended this site to simply be a showcase of me and my many non-existent talents.  Rather, I wanted this to be a medium to share and exchange ideas and views on things that hold my interests which, surely, is shared by other people as well.  I mean, I couldn't be the only person out there who wants to run his first triathlon.  I couldn't be the only desperate art dilettante out here.  I couldn't be the only person who likes eating boiled okra.  Well, o.k. maybe I am, but slimy vegetables aside, my whole point for blogging is to get feedback - I'm not writing on a journal that I'm keeping under lock and key.  So, respond, react, reject me if you will.  But do tell me what you think.

Maybe, I do not understand this technology as much as I thought I did.  Maybe I should just join the countless forums out there specific to a field (e.g., trifuel.com for triathlons, Speakeasy for writers).  Maybe I should just build me an avatar and go wandering the streets of SecondLife.  Maybe, MySpace, Friendster, and countless other networking venues would hook me up with like-minded individuals faster.  Forget the web and just join the many orgs out there that meet in the local town hall once a month?  Maybe.

For now, I'll give this website another go.  I'll be posting new stuff, keeping it fresh - give 'em web crawlers something to chew on.

Now if you have a breath of an inkling of the slightest urge to comment, lambaste or just say 'hey' to me, then please don't hesitate to do so,  Send a feedback (your feedbacks don't get posted immediately - so don't be shy), post a reply, and make this FDS-suffering bleary-eyed blogger blog for a little while longer.

    Hey Danny,

Where's my 5 bucks? Good stuff you have on your site. Build it and they will come ?????? How about Market Market Market... If a tree falls in the forest will it make a sound??? First throw a party in the forest - Have a BBQ in the forest - Have a band play in the forest.
When everyone arrives, chop down a tree. I guarantee everyone will hear it...

    Your Friend,
